What is Der Greif Studio?

Der Greif Studio provides art advisory, curation and artwork sales to clients in the commercial real estate and hospitality industries such as hotels and workplaces. We collaborate with selected unrepresented artists and image makers from our global community to elevate these spaces through meaningful art curation and installation.

Why should I submit to Der Greif Studio?

Since you submitted your work to Der Greif in the past, we’ve already come across your work and value it. By submitting your portfolio, you grant us the chance to understand your work in depth. This allows us to proactively market and sell your art to hospitality and real estate venues, always ensuring that each piece is produced and presented to the highest quality standards.

What can I submit?

You can submit up to five projects representing your work with 10 to 40 images and / or up to two videos each. It’s also totally fine to submit fewer portfolios, if you prefer to submit less work. Our clients are often drawn to nature-inspired, abstract, or minimal compositions with a sense of lightness or playfulness. Portraits and other subjects are also welcome, though we avoid violent or sexual imagery. Our curators will include your work in proposals where it aligns with client interests and space requirements. However, we cannot guarantee selection. If your work is chosen for a project, we will inform you.

⚠️ Please don’t submit any install shots as part of your projects, these are not relevant and deviate from the core aspects of your images.

Can I submit standalone images, not part of a series?

Yes, standalone pieces are welcome. At Der Greif, we embrace putting different artists’ images in dialogue to create dynamic curations and new narratives - so a single strong image can be interesting. You can add any/all standalone images into one portfolio, and then just label the portfolio as such.

What are the file size specifications?

Please upload high res files of your submitted works, with the following specs:

Why high-res?

Uploading high-res files gives us directly printable files up to DIN A2 while staying practical for the regular process, meaning no follow‑up emails, no lost time, enabling quick responses to tight project deadlines, whilst providing consistent fine‑art quality across every print size.

⚠️ We will always inform you if your work is chosen, and don’t hand over high res files to our production partner prior to that.

Who is your production partner?

We collaborate with ArtProof on all matters concerning fine-art printing, framing and logistics. ArtProof produces museum-quality photographs for museums and galleries across Europe, providing consistent quality throughout the entire process.
